Some wedding days are beautiful.

And then some are deeply meaningful.

Cody and Rachel Rapp’s intimate backyard wedding was centered around what mattered most to them — Jesus, their family and friends, and the covenant they were stepping into together.

They chose to get married in the backyard of a dear friend’s home. A space that felt personal, welcoming, and full of love before the day even began. With the help of their closest people, the yard was transformed into the most beautiful wedding setting filled with lush greenery and soft, romantic florals that really framed the space, adding elegance and warmth. But the most meaningful detail of all was the large wooden cross that stood at the altar.

It wasn’t just a random decor choice, but the foundation of their entire wedding day. As Cody and Rachel stood in front of that cross to exchange vows, it was a powerful reminder that their marriage is rooted in something deeper — their shared faith and commitment to honoring God in their marriage.

From the very beginning, their wedding was intentional. Every prayer, every word spoken, every tear shed pointed back to Jesus. There was a quiet reverence during the ceremony — the kind that only happens when everyone present understands that what’s taking place is sacred. Family and friends gathered close, not just to witness a celebration, but to support a covenant. And when Rachel walked down the aisle, you could see it in Cody’s eyes — this wasn’t just excitement. It was gratitude. It was awe. It was love grounded in faith.

Cody and Rachel’s love is steady. Gentle. Intentional. And so clearly rooted in their faith. Their wedding day was not about extravagance or trends. It was about building their marriage on a firm foundation and celebrating that commitment with the people who have walked alongside them. Laughter carried easily across the yard. Hugs lingered a little longer. Conversations felt deeper. The entire evening felt less like a production and more like a gathering of people who truly love and support this couple.

And honestly — those are the kinds of wedding days that stay with you.

Cody & Rachel, thank you for allowing me to capture such a sacred and joy-filled day. It was an honor to witness and document the beginning of this beautiful chapter for you both, and I pray the Lord richly blesses your marriage for the rest of your lives.
