A Full Circle Moment with Kyleigh & Si
There are some stories that feel especially full circle, and this one is one I’ll carry with me for a long time.
I first met Kyleigh two years ago when she booked a mini session for her and her husband, Si. It was such a sweet, simple session—just the two of them, documenting their love as it was in that moment. Fast forward through a couple of years and several sessions later, and I now got to capture them becoming parents to their beautiful baby girl, Leonie.
Getting to walk alongside couples in multiple seasons of their lives is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. Watching their story grow, deepen, and change, and being trusted to capture it is something I will never take for granted.
Boho Studio Maternity Session | Capturing the Beauty of Motherhood
Their journey into parenthood began with the most beautiful maternity session at my studio. We combined my boho lifestyle setup with a rich, textured dark brown backdrop, creating the perfect balance of soft and moody imagery.
Every dress Kyleigh chose fit her so effortlessly and gave off the most dreamy, boho feel. And then came the final look, a true showstopper. A stunning, puffy tulle gown that brought such a sense of elegance and drama to the session. It was one of those moments where everything just came together perfectly, highlighting the beauty of motherhood in such an artistic and timeless way.
Fresh 48 Hospital Session | Welcoming Baby Leonie
The very next chapter unfolded at the hospital during their Fresh 48 session, just one day after Leonie arrived. These first hours are always so tender and full of emotion. Quiet, overwhelming, and incredibly beautiful all at once.
We documented a mix of family moments, capturing Kyleigh and Si soaking in every second with their new baby girl, along with some sweet, simple portraits of Leonie on her own. She was nestled into the hospital bassinet with the most thoughtful details, a floral personalized blanket, her name sign, and the sweetest vintage-style Winnie the Pooh blanket that added such a nostalgic, meaningful touch.
These Fresh 48 sessions are all about preserving those fleeting, once-in-a-lifetime moments and little details that change all too quickly.
Studio Newborn Session | Timeless & Cozy Newborn Photography
A couple of weeks later, they came into the studio again for Leonie’s newborn session. By this point, you could already feel how naturally they had settled into life as a family of three. There was such a calm, loving energy throughout the entire session.
We captured a mix of family images along with a few styled setups focused on Leonie. One of my absolute favorite looks featured her wrapped in a soft white wrap, paired with a delicate floral headpiece. She was laid on a pink textured, fluffy layer and gently holding the tiniest teddy bear in her cute little hands.
